ESL - English as a Second Language

| Our ESL Program is designed for adults whose first language is not English and who wish to improve their level of English proficiency. Instruction covers all phases of the English language. Improvement of communication skills is the main goal. Conversation is stressed in ESL classes. Reading and writing are taught together. Basic grammar lessons, geography, history, civics, and government are part of the curriculum. ESL classes function as academic classes and are support groups for students. |

Students must register and take the BEST Plus Oral Assessment in order to enter the ESL Program. The BEST Plus establishes a starting class level for students. Students begin classes after placement level is determined. |

There are two locations where students may sign up for classes: Conway Education Center (CEC) - (843) 488-6200
Class hours: Morning Classes: Monday- Friday, 9am-12pm Evening Classes: Monday- Thursday, 5pm- 8pm |
